There’s nothing worse than seeing a favorite TV show come to an end. This is especially prevalent with older TV series, such as Dragnet, The Incredible Hulk and Get Smart. They were so unique that they are irreplaceable.

One solution is the network RTN, which stands for Retro Television Network. Shows that are no longer on the air are all the network does, even old commercials. Nothing on this network that is less than 20 years old. In fact, all the shows mentioned above can be found on this channel, in addition to shows like Starsky & Hutch and Fat Albert.

There are also new and current series that can be substitutes. For example, if one misses the show Dragnet, Law & Order: SVU might work. Two partners try to solve a crime, mostly by interviewing. It is reminiscent of Dragnet, because it’s the interviews that solve the crime.

Glee can be a substitute for the show Fame, Fringe can replace shows like Sliders and The X-Files and Secrets of the Dead, even though it’s a non-fiction show, could take the place of The Twilight Zone. Also, some older shows have been resurrected, such as Hawaii Five-O and Unsolved Mysteries.

There are options for those who miss the old TV shows.

Remember the days when TV wasn’t always censored? Not because there weren’t guidelines, but just simply because TV was a family affair. Nick at Nite still offers some of your old favorites that you can share with your own family now. Let’s take a look at just a few of the retro rebroadcasts available now.

Al from Married With Children is still selling shoes on Nick at Nite, and Peggy is still trying to lure him upstairs to relive his glory days as a high school football star. Kelly and Bud never grow old and poor Marcy Darcy can’t get away from the Bundy’s.

The Nanny continues to be a popular show, with Fran chasing Mr. Sheffield and Niles always looking to take a cheap shot at C.C. The flashy girl from Flushing will never get old!

Everyone’s favorite bumbling nerd turned love god via alter ego, Urkle, is going strong today just like in the 90s when we first got a gander into the life of the Windslow family.

Other screen gems still available are That 70s Show, Home Improvement, Everybody Hates Chris and Glen martin DDS. Nick at Nite offers up fun and violence free programming that your kids will actually love!

When you’re seeking a change from the currently popular TV shows, TV Land offers you a versatile diversion. Throughout the day and evening, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy nostalgic moments watching shows that were highly popular years ago. TV Land is an excellent channel for the whole family to enjoy on family night.

TV Land lets you go way back in time to the era of Gunsmoke and Bonanza. Both children and adults enjoy these action packed Westerns. When you need some stress relief, TV Land provides hours of laughter with comedies like Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons, and I Dream Of Jeannie.

TV Land also gives you the opportunity to enjoy more recent program favorites. You can watch shows such as Three’s Company, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Happily Divorced. Occasionally, you have the opportunity to watch a marathon of one of your favorite shows from the past. This is a good time to invite friends over for a nostalgic theme party, munch on some popcorn, and enjoy hours of laughter together. If you’re not the partying type, just enjoy hours of your favorite show while relaxing in your most comfortable clothes and snacking on your favorite foods.

TV Land has great shows, both old and new. Watching TV Land on your satellite TV can be an enjoyable experience for anyone, young or older as well as families.

Some older shows, which are sure to bring back nostalgia to viewers are, I Dream of Jeanie, Bewitched, The Andy Griffith Show and Leave it to Beaver. These shows can be watced during the day time on TV Land. I enjoyed many of these shows as a kid. These are shows which I feel like I can watch with my family and share with my kids to show them a bit of television history which I grew up with.

Newer shows, which can be enjoyed by all include Hot In Cleveland and Retired at 35. Hot in Cleveland comes on Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. and features some well known stars, such as Betty White and Valerie Bertinelli. This is one of my personal favorites on TV Land. IIt is about a group of women who all move to Ohio and live together. They rent from Betty White, who quickly becomes a beloved and comedic part of their little group.

Retired at 35 is also a new shows on TV Land. It is on after Hot in Cleveland. It features George Segal and Jessica Walter. They play parents to a 35 year old man, who moves from New York to Florida to live with them in their retirement community.

TV Land is an excellent channel of choice and has shows which are sure to please everyone in the family. You thought this was good? Brace yourself: TV Land Sizzles This Summer with New Episodes of ‘Hot in Cleveland’ Beginning June 15 at 10p
